Dear participant,
We are pleased to share with you the success of our first Business Conference, "2024 Spain-Curaçao," held in Madrid on April 26th, where the official launching of the business platform, the Spain-Curaçao Business Development Agency, took place, The fundamental purpose of the agency is to create and strengthen an economic ecosystem between both countries.
During the event, we had the presence of the Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, Mr. Ruisandro Cijntje, and the Honorable Ambassador of the Netherlands, Mr. Roel Nieuwenkamp, as well as representatives from different economic sectors and authorities of Curaçao (the tourism sector, the port authority, the financial sector, the Free Trade Zone, the Curaçao Investment & Export Promotion Agency (CINEX), and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Curaçao), in addition to various private sector companies from the island.
From Spain, representatives from real estate and construction sectors, the banking sector, the renewable energies industry, investment promoters, tourism promotion, logistics, as well as representatives from fishing companies and sports promotion agencies, among others, accompanied us.
We thank the Minister of Economic Development for his availability and commitment to this event, as well as the entire delegation from Curaçao who accompanied us, all the speakers who shared their knowledge with a professional handling of each of the topics presented, all the attendees from Spain who actively participated in the event, the organizing committee, and the hosts from Spain for their hospitality.
